Susan Annette (Francks) Hudgins

Susan Annette Hudgins, age 74, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed from this life Sunday, April 7, 2024.

She was born November 11, 1949, in Atlantic City, New Jersey to William George and Ruth (Miller) Francks.

Susan grew up in the Catholic faith, and she attended a Catholic private school in New Jersey for most of her youth education. She has lived in New Jersey, New York, California, Germany, Ada and Tecumseh, Oklahoma.

She served in the US Army as a personnel clerk, and was Honorably discharged in 1974.

Susan married Johnnie Lee Hudgins on August 20, 1982 in Shawnee Oklahoma.

She was a teacher in higher education and retired in 2012 as a professor at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. She attended online Nova University Florida to pursue her PhD. She didn't complete it but made several attempts to get a thesis approved by her professor. She was an avid book reader. She enjoyed specific authors and would collect all of their book releases. She was very involved in her son and daughters extra circular activities. She loved to host family dinners for her family as they became adults and started building families of their own.

Susan is preceded in death by; her parents; her husband, Johnnie Lee Hudgins,

Survivors include; daughter, Susan L. Hudgins; son, Jason Lee Hudgins; grandson, Zane Mason Anderson; her brother Mike McClure, and other extended family and friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home Tecumseh, Oklahoma.
