Moreen M. (Irwin) Hoyle

Jan. 6, 1916 ~ Oct. 7, 2002

Moreen M. Hoyle died at Cottonwood Healthcare on Monday, Oct. 7, 2002, at age 86. She was born the first of 10 children in Rush Springs, Okla., on Jan. 6, 1916 to the late Vin H. and Carrie B. Irwin.

She had been a resident of Yolo County for 32 years. She and her husband moved to Guinda after retiring and sent (sic) their time growing almonds.

They recently moved to the Californian in Woodland. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Woodland.

According to family members, Mrs. Hoyle loved sewing and was an accomplished seamstress.

Mrs. Hoyle is survived by her husband of 67 years, James S. Hoyle of Woodland; son Jim Hoyle and wife Rosemary of Jackson; and grandson James Scott Hoyle and wife Christy of Elk Grove.

She is also survived by sister Alene Ventura of Woodland; brothers Vin Irwin of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; Glen Irwin of Tulsa; Okla.; and Houston Irwin of Long Beach.

She was preceded in death by daughter Peggy Ann Hoyle in 1973, sister Fayrene Faulkner, and brothers Robert, Roy, Leon and Elmo Irwin.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at McNary's Chapel.

Internment will be private at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Colma.

McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
