Paul Franklin Howe, Jr., of Durant, passed away on September 20, 2025, at the age of 56. He was born on July 2, 1969, in Denison, Texas, to Frank Howe, Sr. and Mavis (Price) Howe. Paul married the love of his life, Patricia, on August 3, 1990, in Grayson County, Texas.
Paul was a dedicated forklift operator at Golden Peanut. He actively helped his community as a supporter of the Special Olympics. Outside of work, Paul had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying fishing and shooting guns with the boys. Each year, he excitedly transformed his home by decorating for Christmas and Halloween, creating unforgettable memories for his family and the neighborhood.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of over 35 years, Patricia Howe, and their daughter Rebecca Denton, of Gilmore, Texas, his five sons, Calvin Howe, Steven Howe, Kevin Howe, of Caney, Oklahoma, Devin Howe and his wife Laken, of Mead, Oklahoma, Johnny Howe and his wife Ava, of Durant, Oklahoma, and his grandsons, Patrick, Jasper, Carter, and Franklin. He is also survived by his sisters, Carol Dill and her husband Kevin, of Boswell, Oklahoma, and Cathy Standridge and her husband Donald, of Joshua, Texas; as well as his brother Eddy Cabe of Oklahoma.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents Frank Howe, Sr. and Mavis Howe, his mother-in-law Shirley Barnes, his brothers Willie Cabe, Arthur Cabe, and Freddy Howe, and his loving grandparents Jim and Alma Howe, and Samuel and Gracie Price.
His Family Hour will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home. His funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 26, 2025, at Fairview Church in Durant, with Brother Bill Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow at Cherry Mound Cemetery in Denison, Texas.
Those serving as pallbearers are Calvin Howe, Stevin Howe, Kevin Howe, Devin Howe, Johnny Howe, and Paula Garcia.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home to assist the family with the funeral expenses.
