Patricia E. Howard, resident of Ponca City, passed away September 14, 2024 in Stillwater, OK. She was 83.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 20, 2024, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601, with Pastor Josh Garza officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.
Patricia E. McConnel was born on April 21, 1941, to Earnest and Pearl McConnel in Cushing Oklahoma. "Patti", as she was known by her family and friends, moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma in the 1950's and married Donald Howard on New Years Eve, 1967. During the late 60's and early 70's, she and Donald owned and operated the A&W Root Beer drive-in on 14th street in Ponca City. Later in the early 80's Patti and Donald opened the PattiCake House in Ponca City and helped countless people celebrate their loved ones with their special cakes and cookies for over two decades.
When Patti and Donald retired, they split their time between Ponca City and Gunnison Colorado where they loved the mountains and beautiful weather.
Patti loved the Lord and her family unconditionally. She was an exceptionally talented artist, sharing her love of life through her painting, drawing, quilting, and baking. Her artistic legacy lives on through the many gifts cherished by her family and friends including personalized quilts, paintings, and more.
Patti is survived by her loving sons Rocky Robertson and wife Barbara of Magnolia, Texas, and Donald E. Howard II and wife Melinda of Ponca City, Oklahoma; grandsons Christopher Robertson and his wife Racheal of Hockley, Texas, Andrew Robertson and his wife Sonika of The Woodlands, Texas, Trevor Howard of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and Tyler Howard of Ponca City, Oklahoma; Great grandson Vaughn Robertson and great granddaughter Avery Robertson; Two brothers, Dennis McConnel and his wife May and James Cranke; along with multiple nieces and nephews.
Patti is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Donald E. Howard; sisters Alma Carpenter, Ena M. (Mike) Gafford, Ruth Porter, Vivian Knight, and Carol Levonik and brother Ralph Cranke Jr.
