JoAnn Howard was born into this world on June 17, 1933, to Otis and Idell Hay Keener. JoAnn departed this world on February 15, 2021, at the age of 87. She was born and raised in Durant, Ok, where she became a teacher and later married Bob J. Howard on March 15, 1953.
JoAnn loved to travel the world. When at home here in Durant, Ok, you could catch her gardening or even playing a game of Dominoes. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandkids and great-grandkids.
JoAnn is preceded in death by her first husband, Bob Howard, parents Otis and Idell Keener, brother Dick Keener, granddaughter Jessica Stallings, son Bruce Howard, great great-grandson Carter Lake, second husband, Cecil Smith.
Survived by daughter Kathryn Hays and spouse Alan Caldwell, granddaughters Mandi and spouse Miguel Villarreal, Brooke Howard, Victoria and spouse Courtney Thompson, Michelle Garrison great-grandchildren Brittany and spouse Patrick Lake, Brandi Baumann, Karen and Dana Eldred, Deveney and spouse Dustin Abernathy, Blake, Zackary, Emily, and Noah Villarreal, Deiondra Howard, Imri Bolgrien, Great Great Grandchildren Nevaeh Lake, Sarah and Alec Abernathy. Sister in Law, Linda Keener.
Services will be held at Browns Funeral Service in Durant, Ok, Friday, February 19, 2021, at 2 pm.
