David Howard age 66 of Newcastle passed away on March 14, 2023. David Earl Howard was born to Earl Wilbur Howard and Doris Aline Howard (Coleman) on May 3, 1956 in Prague, Oklahoma. The family soon relocated to Moore where David grew up and attended school, graduating with the Lions Class of 1974.
David enjoyed working with his hands. For many years he ran his own business, Howard Welding, specializing in all kinds of fences and automatic entry gates. When David wasn’t working, he enjoyed reading western or outdoor adventure books, once he’d finished a good one he’d pass it along to family or friends to enjoy. He never missed a good auction, David enjoyed buying things he could fix and flip to make some extra money. He always had a soft spot for animals and loved his dogs and herd of goats. He was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Doris Howard.
He is survived by his brother Gary Howard of Lindsay. His nieces Sarah Cline of Lindsay, Dakota Stout of Oklahoma City, and his nephew Josh Howard of Newcastle. He also leaves behind several great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
The family will gather to remember David at a later time. Send online condolences at www.wilsonlittle.com.
