Ricky Lee Houston

Ricky Lee Houston
Saturday February 27, 1960 ~ Monday March 9, 2026

In the morning of February 27, 1960 a young husband and wife were trying to get back to Cushing Ok. They had been working up north, and cut it a bit short in time. Richard Lee Houston and his wife Alberta Rae Houston just wanted to get back home before their first baby was born. God had other plans so they stopped in Newton, Kansas and Ricky Lee Houston was born that cold windy day. "He is a good one" Alberta would always say. She decided to name him Ricky as they had friends with babies named Richard. Alberta said her boy was special, not a copycat, the only Ricky in the family. Until he married on July 15 1977 to Anita Annette Ross, they were childhood sweethearts. God gave them their first baby in December 1978, Ricky Lee Houston 2nd. Their son grew up to be a good man helping to build their company RCP RICHARDS CONSTRUCTION PAVING

One day he came home and told his mother he had met the most beautiful girl he ever saw. He married Lacey Jay Brooks. God blessed their little family with two children, Harley Ann Houston OSU alumni, and Rowdy Allen Houston an OSU student. In 1982 Rick and Anita had a beautiful baby girl, Lesly Dawn Houston, she was a strong little girl grown into a strong willed woman. She married and has three children Ollie Emma and Marvie. They are so loved by all their family. Beautiful and smart, they are finding their way in life. Someday to see us again.

On March 9, 2026 our Lord called Ricky Lee Houston home to heaven while his wife of almost 50 years stood praying him into God's arms.

Ricky was preceded in death by a younger brother Allen Houston, his mother Alberta Houston, his father Richard (Tubby)Houston, his twin sisters LaVeta Houston, and Laneta Houston, many cousins and many others he loved.

Rick is missed by our family and friends, but never forgotten.

Following his wishes, no service will be held.
