Thomas James "Tom" Houseman
April 12, 1956 ~ July 21, 2020

Thomas “Tom” James Houseman, 64, died Tuesday, July 21, 2020 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born April 12, 1956 in Niles, MI to Paul and Janet Houseman. He graduated from Niles H.S. in 1974 where he was active in track and cross country. Tom earned a BBA from Western Michigan University in 1978. He then married the love of his life, Marjorie (Vanderwater) Houseman on March 29, 1980 in Niles, MI.

Tom worked for Mercy Hospital in OKC for almost 37 years, taking on various roles in finance. He was a regular platelet donor for OBI and faithfully served as a volunteer through Mercy for the Habitat for Humanity, the food pantry, the Mercy Golf Classic and the Mercy Gala. He was a member of Bethany First Church of the Nazarene where he served as a team captain with the golf cart ministry for many years. Tom enjoyed bicycle riding, running, Disney, traveling at home and abroad, spending time with family and friends, golfing, baseball and reading mysteries.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Margie; children, Kara (Jesse) McRay and Tim (Kit) Houseman; granddaughter, Falyn McRay; and sister, Kathi Houseman.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 25, 10:00am in the Atrium of Bethany First Church of the Nazarene. Memorials may be made to the Mercy Foundation at https://mercyhealthfoundation.net/communities/oklahoma-city/ or Habitat for Humanity at https://www.habitat.org/donate
