Myrtle Pauline (Vaughan) Hougland
February 4, 1923 ~ May 27, 2019

Myrtle Pauline Hougland the daughter of Wallace and Maude (Edmonson) Vaughan was born February 4, 1923 in Cookson, Oklahoma and departed this life on May 27, 2019 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 96 years, 3 months and 23 days.

Pauline loved life and everything in it. She was good at Life, she was a good person, she enjoyed people and helping anyone and she was always full of life. She had a sharp mind and was a great cook, one of the best cafe’ cooks in the country. Pauline enjoyed church, her home church was Liberty Mission Pastor Jimmy Briggs. Pauline gave her heart to the Lord many years ago. She loved to sing praises unto the Lord. She loved all the kids through the years and would load them up and take them to the movies or just anywhere she was going. She never missed a hair appointment because she always wanted to look her very best. You minded her as a child for sure, but she was a good momma, grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma and great-great-great-grandma. Pauline touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her children Trudy McGraw and Charles Raymond Kelley Jr.; and her siblings Daniel Vaughan, Opal Vaughan, Lee Elner Vaughan, Johnny Vaughan, Otto Vaughan, Criss Walters, and Betty Helen Walters.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her husband Claudie Hougland; her daughter Wanda Brannon of Stilwell; her brother Larry Vaughan of Muskogee; 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 45 great-great-grandchildren and 7great-great-great-grandchildren.

Numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her
