Robert Hough

October 16, 1930 ~ Nov 3, 2014

Robert Hough, 84 year old former Woodward resident, died Monday, November 3, 2014 at the Vici Nursing Home in Vici. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 5:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m. at the Billings Funeral Home in Woodward. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Texline Cemetery in Texline, Texas under the direction of the Hass Funeral Home of Clayton, New Mexico.

Robert L. Hough was born on October 16, 1930 in Clayton, New Mexico to William Roy and Ethel Mae (McGowan) Hough. He was reared in Texline, Texas and graduated from Clayton High School. He was united in marriage to Juanita Marie Hampton on November 12, 1950 in Clayton, New Mexico. Robert was inducted into the United States Air Force on January 8, 1951. He served his country as a Sergeant until being honorably discharged on January 7, 1955.

He was in the Oil and Gas industry for more than 30 years and owned and operated Hough Oilfield Service in Liberal, Kansas along and worked for several independent oil and gas companies including ONEOK. The family lived in Woodward from 1977 until 2009.

He is survived by his son, Danny Hough of Fairland, daughter Debra Newby of Houston, Texas, daughter Deanna Hough of Vici, sister Mickey Durbin of Liberal, Kansas; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Juanita in 2010 and a son Robert Michael in 2006.
