Delnita Lou (Teter) Hosier
July 26, 1947 ~ July 10, 2019

Delnita Hosier, 71 year old Mooreland resident, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at her home in Mooreland. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church in Mooreland.

Delnita Lou (Teter) Hosier was born on July 26, 1947 in Mooreland, Oklahoma to Delbert Leroy and Edna Mae (Buck) Teter-Wheeler. Delnita grew up in Mooreland and graduated from Mooreland High School in 1965. She then attended Oklahoma State University where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Home Economics. She was united in marriage to Norman Lee Hosier, Sr. on February 14, 1970 in Mooreland, Oklahoma. They made their first home in Woodward before moving to Stillwater and later settling in Mooreland.

She was a Social Worker at Fort Supply, an inspector at the Fruit of the Loom Factory, the Activities Director at the Mooreland Golden Age Nursing Home, and a housewife, and a very caring, supportive grandma.

Delnita was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mooreland. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, making outfits, costumes, and snacks for her granddaughters, quilting, canning, and baking. She loved traveling with family, spending time with grandkids and helping with their projects, baking pies, cinnamon rolls, and bierox for neighbors, friends, and family. Delnita was a member of the Altrusa Club, Work and Play Club, OHCE, and Girl Scouts.

She is survived by one son, Norman Lee Hosier, Jr. and wife Melinda; two daughters, Pat Burrow and husband Richard, Angie Horton and husband James; five grandchildren: Lauren Burrow, Natalie Hosier, Lakin Burrow, Erica Smith, and Jessica Smith; and many dear and special nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters Patsy Colleen Teter and Anita Wilson, brother Lowell Teter, a nephew Kevin Greeson, and a great nephew Cody Greeson.

Delnita did things her way all the way to her passing!
