Witcher L Horton, age 78, of Ponca City, Oklahoma passed away April 6, 2021 at Alliance Health in Ponca City, Oklahoma. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.
Witcher was born on October 6, 1942 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Lawrence and Florence (Hatcher) Horton. Witcher grew up in Ponca City, OK. Witcher graduated in 1960 from Ponca City High School. He attended Oklahoma State University and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Psychology. In 1971, he received a degree in Pharmacy from Southwestern State University in Weatherford, OK.
Witcher loved fishing on White River and Buffalo River in Arkansas. He also enjoyed traveling and going on cruises to Alaska, Hawaii and the Caribbean Islands.
On June 6, 2005, Witcher married Ramona Hutson in Ponca City, OK.
Witcher worked as a pharmacist at various drug stores and hospitals. He retired in 1993.
Survivors include: his wife, Ramona Horton, of Ponca City, OK; sister, Nancy Patterson, of Phoenix, AZ; and cousin, Tom Tutwiler and his wife, Marguerita, Marilyn Tutwiler, and Pam Richards.
Preceding in death were his parents Lawrence and Florence Horton.
