Mary Christy (Zimmerman) Hornberger
December 25, 1965 ~ July 15, 2021

Mary Christy Hornberger, 55, Enid resident, was born on December 25, 1965 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, the daughter of Howard Marshall Zimmerman and Oma Saylor Zimmerman. Services will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service & Cremation Directors.

Mary Christy Hornberger passed away peacefully in the hands of the Lord, July 15, 2021 in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Mary was born on December 25, 1965 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to Howard and Oma Zimmerman. She attended New Washington Schools in Marysville, Indiana. Mary is survived by her husband Mike Hornberger, her daughter Nikki Pritchett and her husband Brad, grandchildren Maci and Jackson, stepsons Joey and James Hornberger of San Diego, California, brothers Tim and Sonny Saylor of Indiana, and her best friend Tammy Bussey of Indiana.

Mary retired in 2019 after a successful career as general manager to the local hotel business. Her kind heart and uplifting spirit made the perfect asset to the community and the visitors that she met through her business. She was known to treat her employees and guests like family making sure they were taken care of. Her giving heart and bubbly personality made people generate towards her.

Mary spent her retired years chasing after her very active grandchildren and being one of the most popular cheerleaders for her granddaughter Maci’s softball team. Her presence was always accepting and cheerful as she followed the team town to town cheering them on. She was busy keeping up with her grandson Jackson as well, whether it was dancing the day away or playing a good game of peek a boo.

Mary is preceeded in death by her grandparents, parents, and her sister Grace Zimmerman. Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
