Stefan Lorenz Horn
July 26, 1969 ~ July 12, 2014

Deputy Stefan Lorenz Horn, Elgin, was born July 26, 1969 in Germany to Lorenz and Hilde [Strauch] Horn. He died at his home on July 12, 2014 at the age of 44.

Stefan grew up and attended school in Germany until his family moved to Lawton in 1981. He graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1989.

It was always his dream to work in law enforcement and on April 1, 1999 he enrolled in the reserve CLEET training. He attended the basic CLEET training in August 2001. He completed his intermediate CLEET training in June 2009. After his CLEET certification he became a police officer and worked for police departments in Elgin, Cyril, and Sterling. At the time of his death he was a deputy for the Comanche County Sheriff's Department.

In his free time Stefan enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time with his family and taking care of his mom. He also loved playing with his dogs, who were like his kids.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Walker and a nephew, William Horn.

Survivors include his mother, Hilde Walker, of Lawton; brothers, Thomas Horn and wife Adaline and their son Casey of Cache and Siegfried Horn and family of Germany; sister, Ute Asemota and family of Germany; girlfriend, Twyla Stephenson of Elgin. He also has numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends.
