Our precious Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend, Ila LaDene Hopper, went to be with our Lord on May 23, 2009.

She was met in Heaven by her parents Charlie and Annie Mae Morrow, her nephew, Jerry Crisman, her great-nephew, Jason Jacobson, and other relatives and friends.

LaDene was born on March 2, 1941 in Duncan, OK.

She has resided in Bakersfield since 1953 and graduated from North High School in 1959. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Edwina and Dennis Nichols; her son, Dennis Hopper; her grandchildren, Phillip and Samantha Nichols; her sisters and their husbands: Billie and Bert Alton, Janice and Len Brown, Peggy and Paul Crisman; and Teresa and Mike Nichols; as well as three generations of nieces and nephews, too numerous to mention, but loved just the same.

Services will be held at Valley Baptist Church, 4800 Fruitvale Ave., Friday, May 29, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with interment at Greenlawn Northeast [Southwest] Cemetery at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure or the American Cancer Society.
