Ola Dean Hoover

July 21, 1923 ~ Dec. 21, 2003

Ola Dean Hoover died following complications from a fall in her home Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, at age 80.

Born July 21, 1923, in Hominy, Okla., Mrs. Hoover had been a Yolo County resident for 60 years. She was a homemaker and seamstress in addition to working at Contadina Cannery for 25 years. She was a member of Rebeckah Lodge and Good Sam Campers Club in the 1970s.

Survivors include her daughters, Charlotte Lloyd of Woodland; Dana Gordley and husband David of Rancho Cordova; grandchildren, Tamyra and Matt Hall, and Mark and Denise Prtichett, also all of Woodland, Jennifer and Doug Lusk and Cory Vick and Rachel Lebrock of Sacramento, Leighandra Gordley of Rancho Cordova, Tomika Gordley of Stockton and Matthew Spencer of Modesto; great-grandchildren, Dustin and Amy Cline, Seth and Chad Pritchett, all of Woodland, Amanda and Chase Harrison and Justin Lusk of Sacramento, and Zachary Thompson of Stockton; sisters, Norma Johnson and Sybil Murphy of Loomis, and Donna Bratton of Redding; and brothers, Joe Denman of Redding and Jim Denman of Graham, Wash. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Hoover; and brother, Garth Denman.

The family requests memorials be directed to Kaiser Permanente Hospice Program. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Valley of Citrus Heights.

Services: A memorial service is scheduled in early January of 2004. Burial will be at Monument Hill Memorial Park, Woodland.
