Leona Mae (Pritchett) Hooper
July 9, 1931 ~ October 13, 2022

Leona was a hardworking woman throughout her life but enjoyed all the small things that come with it, such as traveling on the road, family vacations, and a simple bowl of strawberry ice cream. She loved to tend to her roses in her yard, taking care of them and appreciating the beauty of each flower. Leona also enjoyed having her rock collection that have holes in them so she could string them along her porch to show off. Her biggest joy in life was being a grandmother to all the grandkids she cared for in her time and serving as a “Granny” to several children throughout her time in Adair County schools. Ms. Leona will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. She was a devoted member of New Baptist Church.

Leona was a lifelong member of the Greasy Community and helped build the Greasy Community Building.

Numerous nieces and nephews in the family along with generations of children throughout her 20 years being a granny in the public schools of Adair County also survive her.

Funeral Service was held 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the Roberts-Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Stilwell, OK.
