Memorial service for Lorraine V. [Page] Hood, 95, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 11:00 A.M., Sunday, April 1, 2007 at the Best Western Banquet Room in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Lorraine V. [Page] Hood was born a twin and one of eight children on February 22, 1912 to Louis Oscar and Nora Ann [Arnett] Page in Lazare, Texas. She died on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at her home in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Lorraine graduated from Quanah High School and then received her beauticians license. She moved to Santa Monica, California and worked at the Defense Plant during World War II having all five of her brothers in the service.
Later she moved to Dallas, Texas were she met the love of her life and married Homer Lee Hood, a pipeline welder. They traveled the world and had 20 wonderful years together. She moved to Chickasha in 1998 and being a history buff, she spent time researching Chickasha's history.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband: Homer L. Hood; son: James H. Barr, brothers: L.O. Page, Floyd Page, Lowell "Judge" Page and Ralph Page, sisters: Viola Brinkerhoff and Flossie Carter.
Survivors include: brother: Eugene D. and Virginia Page of Amarillo, Texas; granddaughter: Kelly J. and Curtis Rodgers of Chickasha, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren: Ashlee Dismuke of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Tory Lacy of Chickasha, Oklahoma; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
