Kenneth David Honeycutt was born on July 28, 1961 to Kenneth and Dimple Honeycutt in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He departed this life on November 24, 2020 at the age of 59 years 3 months and 28 days.
Known by his middle name, David was a lifelong resident of Bristow and a 1979 graduate of Bristow High School. He attended Central Tech in Drumright where he earned certifications in auto repair. Following this, he attended OSU Okmulgee.
On January 2, 1982, David Honeycutt and Andrea Sellers were joined in marriage. From this union were born three children: Tara, Kyle, and Cody. After many years, David and Andrea divorced in 2006 while remaining friends. On March 16, 2012, David Honeycutt married Rose Bliss. From this union, David gained five additional children. This gave David and Rose a total of eight children in their hearts and home.
For many years, David worked at KWIKSET in Bristow. At the time of his passing, he was a maintenance supervisor at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. David’s life revolved around his family which was second only to his Lord and Savior. He loved and adored his wife, Rose. He loved and cherished his sister, Marsha. He loved and was devoted to all eight of his children. In addition, he loved and was especially proud of his numerous grandchildren. Throughout his life, David was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and he shared those pastimes with his children, grandchildren, and the rest of his family. David was also an avid motorcycle rider. He was also a rancher skilled at home, farm, vehicle, and equipment repair. Also, David was a social person who cared for and was loved by so many. He never met a stranger.
David is survived by his wife, Rose, of the Bristow home; eight children, Tara Johnson and husband Jon, Kyle Honeycutt and wife Shanna, Cody Honeycutt and wife Ashley, Jade Bliss, Colton Lundberg and wife Samantha, Kylee West and husband Brandon, and Garrett Lundberg; one sister, Marsha Scott and husband Wendell; twelve grand-children, Gage, Harper and Owen Johnson; Gavin, Kolton, and Sadie Honeycutt; Addyson, Hadley, and Callie Honeycutt; Gracie and Maverick Lundberg and Porter West.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Devin Bliss Lundberg.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Faith Baptist Church in Slick, Oklahoma With Reverend Steve Lamberson officiating. The family is strongly encouraging whoever can live stream to please use that avenue as seating will be limited so and they try to social distance.
