Earl Edward Holtschneider, 90, of Guthrie, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord on January 26, 2020. Earl was born February 28, 1929 in Deer Park, Maryland to Albert and Alice (George) Holtschneider.
Earl served his country in the U.S. Air Force as an Air Police until retirement in 1970.
Earl married the love of his life, Joy Busbee on March 21, 1956 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. They were married for 63 years. Earl and Joy had three sons, Stephe, Stan, and Scott. During Earl’s military career the family lived in various places including a three year stint in Germany (1959-1962). The family settled in Littlestown, Pennsylvania (1971) for 20 years where Earl served as a policeman until retirement. In 1991, after retirement from the police force, Earl and Joy retired to Guthrie Oklahoma.
He was born again and baptized into the family of God in 1965. In Guthrie, Earl and Joy attended Seward Road Baptist Church. Joy and Earl loved attending Church and Sunday school and supporting the many mission projects at the church.
Earl is survived by his wife, Joy of Guthrie; sons, Stephe and wife, Charla, Stan and wife, Mary Jane and Scott and wife, Amy; 7 grandchildren, Bryan, Kevin, Dane, Heather, Daniel, Ryan, Kyle; and 8 great- grandchildren. Earl is also survived by a very large extended family and friends that loved him dearly and will miss him very much.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 31, 2020 at Seward Road Baptist Church, 4801 West Seward Road in Guthrie. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
There will not be any visitation.
