Thelma Jean Holt, age 77 of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018 in Oklahoma City.
She was the second of five born to Johnnie Eugene Barley and Vera Mae Whitesell, on January 30, 1941 in Cass, Arkansas.
She married the love of her life, Milford Lee Holt in August 19, 1958. Shortly after, she graduated from Berryhill High School, near Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1959. They made their home in Oklahoma City, finally settling in Moore. Oklahoma in 1962. Most of her life was spent as a homemaker, caring for her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, nanny, and (nanny nanny boo boo). She found joy in spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, sewing, and cross stitching baby blankets. She will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by:
Her parents, Johnnie and Vera Barley;
Brother, Johnny Ray Barley
Sister, Wanda Foster,
and
Husband
Milford Holt.
Thelma leaves behind:
Her Son, Larry Holt and wife Dona of Moore,
Oklahoma;
Daughter, Lisa Carpenter and husband Andy of Arcadia, OK;
Sisters, Linda Sue Barley of Manford,
Oklahoma and Wilma Lusk and husband Ray of Sapulpa, OK
5 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great great
grandson, and a host of other family and friends.
