Linda Lou Hollis

Feb. 12, 1935 ~ Sept. 26, 2006

Linda Lou Hollis went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 26, 2006. She was born in Lindsay, Oklahoma and moved to Bakersfield in 1953.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Frank Hollis, and three children, Ruth Guinn, Ken Hollis and Steve Hollis, and her sister, Francis Davis. She has four grandchildren and three great grandchildren as well as countless nieces, nephews and cousins.

Linda was an accomplished seamstress and worked at Stretch and Sew for fifteen years and also taught classes there. She was very active in church activities at United Methodist Church and was a past president of UMW.

Her infectious spirit will be missed and her love for her family and friends is only surpassed by her devotion to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Memorial services will be held at First United Methodist Church located at 4600 Stockdale Hwy, Bakersfield, CA at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday October 3, 2006.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the United Methodist Church in the name of Linda Hollis.
