Iva Irene Hollis

 February 26, 1918 ~ April 4, 2005

Services: Thurs., April 7, 1:00 p.m.

Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park, 2739 Panama Ln., today, April 7 at 1:00 p.m., for Iva Irene Hollis, 87, who passed away April 4, 2005 in Bakersfield. Rev. Doug Davis will officiate.

Irene was born February 26, 1918 in Antlers, Oklahoma where she was also born again in Jesus Christ. She resided in Kern County for 59 years. Irene and Vergil celebrated their 70th anniversary on December 30, 2004.

She is survived by her husband, Vergil A. Hollis; children and their spouses, Emile Hollis, Curtis Hollis, Kay and Richard Pellerin, Gail and Dan Keeter, Gerald Hollis, and Tressa and Leonard Deason all of Bakersfield; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Juanita Ellis; and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extent a very special thank you to all the nurses at San Joaquin Hospital, especially Lauren, Kimberly, Denise, Andrea, Thomas, and our E.R. nurse, also all the nurses at Optimal Hospice.

Visitation will be held today, April 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
