Ed Holley
March 8, 1952 ~ August 16, 2014

Ed Holley was born March 8, 1952 in Sumiton, Alabama to Mamie and Joseph Clifford Holley. He passed away on August 16, 2014 at Erick, Oklahoma at the age of 62 years, 5 months and 8 days.

Ed grew up in Erick, Oklahoma where he attended school. He was married to Kay Wright on July 25, 1969 in Wheeler, Texas. Ed began his career in law enforcement and worked as a Patrolman at the Hammon and Sayre Police Departments before coming Assistant Chief at Elk City Police Department. He later was employed with the Beckham County Sheriff's Office where he served as the Undersheriff. After leaving law enforcement, Ed went into business with his brother. During his time operating the business, he enjoyed traveling the world. Ed retired in 2004 and returned to Erick to make his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Cody Holley, a daughter, Brandi Holley, 2 brothers, Mike and Bill Holley.

He is survived by his sons, Jeremy Holley of Sayre, OK, Clint Holley of Carter, OK and Joe Holley of Erick, OK; 2 sisters, Joann Porter of Oklahoma City, OK and Juanita Goodlin of Midwest City, OK; 3 brothers, Bobby Holley of Arlington, TX, Terry Beard of Phoenix, AZ and Mark Holley of McRae, AR; his ex-wife, Kay Holley of Sayre, OK; a grand daughter, Mary Ann Crawford, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Private services will be held at a later date.
