Stella Louise (Southerland) Holland

January 22, 1947 ~ October 17, 2021

Stella Louise Holland, 74, of Whitesboro, Texas passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at her residence with her family by her side. A remembrance gathering will be held on Friday, October 22 from 3 until 5 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home Chapel, Gainesville, Texas.

Stella was born on January 22, 1947 to Herman and Jessie Southerland in Ardmore. She worked at the Denton State School for 23 years as the dietary supervisor. She loved to cook and play bingo. Stella had a strong faith in the Lord.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda and husband Efrain Alejos of Whitesboro; granddaughter, Rica Jo and husband Brian Armstrong; two brothers, Jim and wife Penny Southerland of Lake Kiowa, Texas and John Henry and Glenda Southerland of Walnut Bend, Texas; and two great-grandchildren, Maureen Rose Armstrong and Brody Dunn.

Stella was preceded in death by her parents, sister Cora Mayes, and brother, Doug Southerland.
