Kathy Barker Holland of Durant, Oklahoma, was born on August 12, 1943, to Edna Earl (Corley) Barker and Tom Jack Barker. She passed away on January 10, 2026, at the age of 82.
Kathy was a strong, adventurous, kind, brave, and funny woman whose presence brought warmth to those around her. She lived life with resilience and a spirited heart, and she was deeply devoted to the people she loved.
She cherished her roles as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Family meant everything to Kathy, and she took great pride in the bonds she shared with each generation.
Kathy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved gardening, reading, traveling, and watching sports-especially cheering on the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. She also had a special love for her pets, who brought her comfort and companionship over the years.
She is survived by her daughters, Kim Holland and Kara Magnuson; her granddaughter, Nicole Torres-Rodriguez; and her great-granddaughter, Nora Rodriguez. She is also survived by her former husband, Neal Holland, as well as nieces, cousins, and extended family who will continue to honor her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Tom Barker, and her sister, Susan Greenhaw.
Kathy will be remembered for her strength, her humor, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Kathy will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at Brown’s Funeral Service chapel in Durant, OK.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Services.
