Lacy D’Ann (Jones) Holderread

Lacy D’Ann (Jones) Holderread
May 24, 1976 ~ January 24, 2020 (age 43)

Lacy D’Ann (Jones) Holderread was born in Houston, TX, on May 24, 1976, to Connie and Harvey Jones. In 1984, she moved to Marlow, OK, where she was raised, graduating from Marlow High School in 1994. After High School, Lacy attended Cameron University and the University of Oklahoma, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 1998.

Lacy married Brian Holderread on December 19, 1998, in Norman, OK. From this marriage, Lacy welcomed her two children, Caelan and Alexanna, who were the most important and proudest part of her life. She was always there to nurture them, listen to them and lead them through life. Over the years, Lacy and Brian moved several times with residence in Memphis, TN; Wichita, KS; Tulsa, OK; Blanchard, OK; and finally back to Norman, OK where their union started.

Lacy worked as a Registered Nurse from 1998 to 2010 in a variety of healthcare settings, but mostly in skilled nursing facilities where she found her true calling. As the kids began to get a little older, Lacy’s passion for caregiving led her back to school for her Masters in Science in Nursing, APRN Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2011. After graduation, Lacy established her own practice and joined the Long Term Care Specialist group in Oklahoma City providing skilled rehabilitation and long-term care to numerous patients in skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers, and assisted living homes around the Norman and Oklahoma City metro area.

Lacy was a loving mother, wife, and caregiver. Her favorite memories and times were always with family and friends. Lacy loved to travel especially to Italy that she considered a second home. She also enjoyed decorating her home, learning to cook authentic Italian food, and attending OU football games. Lacy believed family, hard work, faith, care, and passion was the foundation to a life well lived.

Lacy is survived by her husband of 21 years, Brian; her children, Caelan and Alexanna; father, Harvey “Mickey” Jones; step-mother, Debbie Dixon and husband David; step-brother, Corey Brown and wife Tina; father-in-law, Larry Holderread and wife Vicki; mother-in-law, Jill Gill and husband Jet; grandmother-in-law, Deloris Isted; sister-in-law, Lisa Philpott and husband Brian; step-brother-in-law, Ryan Blakemore and wife Jillian; step-sister-in-law, Robyn Jones and husband Kevin; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that her memory be honored with contributions to the International Pelvic Pain Society at www.pelvicpain.org or your favorite charity.
