Hazel Vivian Hogue-Wilson

October 10, 1920 ~ September 17, 2005

Funeral service will be Friday, September 23rd, at 10:00 a.m. at the Mish Funeral Home Chapel for Hazel Wilson, 84, who passed away September 17, 2005, in Bakersfield. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Hazel was born in Ruebottom, OK, October 10, 1920. She was married to James Carl Wilson November 10, 1939. Hazel has been a resident of Kern County for 65 years. She was one to never let family or friends who stopped by to visit leave before she could feed them something. She was always there to help anyone in need. Always making sure her family was taken care of.

Hazel loved her home and made it home to everyone who came there. She had a long and fruitful career of over 40 years in accounting.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bessie Hogue; husband, James and son, Carlton L. Wilson; survivors include her son, Lyndal W. Wilson; daughters, Karen and husband, Charles Holden and Janet and husband, Larry Taylor; eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; sister, Celestine Thompson; sisters-in-law, Nita, Sibyl and Melba. These girls were more like sisters.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 22nd, from 4 - 8 p.m. at Mish Funeral Home.
