Helen Jean Carr Hodge, resident of rural Stroud, Oklahoma passed from this life at her residence on November 22, 2015 at the age of 77 years.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Cremation funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael�s Funeral Home of Bristow.

Helen Jean Hodge was born in Fulton, Arkansas on December 19, 1937 to the late Henry Preston Carr and Violet Cherry Carr.
Her family moved to Bristow when she was a young child and remained there for several years, then moved to California where she graduated high school.
She married Carl Ellis Hodge in San Leandro, California on August 26, 1955 where they raised a family of four sons.
While in California, she attended college and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. After she and her husband moved to the Stroud area in 1998, she had worked at the Stroud Nursing Center until retirement.
She enjoyed collecting antiques and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Ed, David and Larry Hodge; a brother, Bobby Carr and a sister, Mary Rusco.
Her remaining family includes her loving husband, Carl Hodge of the home; son, Robert Hodge and wife Sarah of Stroud; grandchildren, Dustin, Daniel, Bobby and David Hodge; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Phyllis Seal of Depew and numerous nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends.
