Thuan My (Vo) Hoang

Thuan My (Vo) Hoang
Sunday, January 22nd, 1956 ~ Tuesday, April 21st, 2020

Thuan Hoang, 64, passed away April 21, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer. Thuan was born January 22, 1956, in Saigon, Vietnam. At the age of 23, Thuan bravely immigrated to the United States where she met her husband, Canh Hoang. They put down roots in Oklahoma City in 1981 and started their family shortly after. A mother to five devoted sons, Thuan touched many lives with her generous spirit and kind-hearted nature. She enjoyed gardening and traveling, but her gift was cooking. And that was how she showed her love and appreciation—through a pot of fried rice.

Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by:
her sons, Phong Hoang (Edmond, OK), Phuc Thanh Hoang (Houston, TX), Yen Hoang (Los Angeles, CA), Loc Hoang (Oklahoma City), and Andrew Hoang (Oklahoma City);
her brother, Chung Vo (Yukon, OK);
her sisters, Nhu Vo and Van Vo (Saigon, Vietnam);
and her best friend, Anh Le (Oklahoma City).

Thuan is preceded in death by:
her sisters, Vo Thi Thu Yen and Yen Vo (Saigon, Vietnam);
and her husband, Canh Hoang (Oklahoma City).

During these times when not all of Thuan’s family and friends can be together to celebrate her life, we ask that you honor her by sharing a meal with those you hold dear—and know that’s exactly what she would have wanted.
