Celebration of Life Service for Sherri Hladik, 68 of Hennessey, will be Friday, January 20, 2023, at 10:00 am in Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church with Pastor Ron Olson officiating. Cremation arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory, Enid.
Sherri was born on August 20, 1954, in Enid, Oklahoma to Sidney and Juanita (Johnson) Batchelder and passed away on January 16, 2023, at her home. She grew up between Drummond and Enid and graduated from Drummond High School in 1972. She played four years of basketball, which sparked her love of the game, playing, or watching her favorite players or teams. On December 2, 1972, Sherri married Wenceslaus “Butch” Hladik in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bison. They made their home on the family farm northwest of Hennessey. She was a bookkeeper for several years and a member of Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church. Sherri loved to cook, crafting and her grandbabies.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bill.
Sherri is survived by her husband, “Butch”; children and grandchildren, Alexis Covington and husband, Craig of Stillwater and daughters, Sydney, Isabel and Anna, Vance Hladik and wife, Jamie of Edmond and son Dylan, and Christina Hestilow and husband, Michael, and daughters, Alexandra and Laura; brothers, Willken Batchelder and Sidney Richard Batchelder; sister, Mickie Druiett; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church or OMRF-Diabetes.
