Memorial services for Gary "Spook" Allen Hines, 64, will be held at 10 AM Saturday, August 19th, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Sterling, Oklahoma with Pastor Dennis A. Meyer officiating. Mr. Hines passed away on August 13, 2017 in Oklahoma City.
Gary was born March 1, 1953 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Golden Allen Hines and Evelyn Gene Lomax Hines. He was the third of five children. He attended Hugo Public Schools. On December 29, 1980 he married the love of his life Martha Ann Manning in Idabel, Oklahoma. Together they spent most of their life moving from town to town working road construction for Bemis Construction. He worked for Bemis Construction for about 30 years. He was a renowned motor grader operator with all of the top of the line certifications. He loved running his blade and he enjoyed giving his grandkids rides in it. He was married to Martha for 33 years until her untimely death in 2014.
In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his beloved dog, Tater, fishing different lakes, hunting, boating, crafting his own jigs, building 14ft fishing rods and fishing in numerous tournaments. He won various tournaments and caught many trophy fish. He will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed enough to get to know him.
He is survived by one daughter, Reyna Adamson, and her husband,Tony, of Sterling; granddaughter, K.D. Adamson, and her boyfriend, Christian, of Fletcher; grandson, Bo Adamson and his wife, Shelsea, of Sterling; brothers and sister in laws, James and Becky Winn of Edmond; Mark and Melany Hines of Mineola,Texas.
He was welcomed into heaven by his grandparents, his parents and his wife, Martha; brother, Ralph; sister, Stephanie and his dog, Tater.
