William Franklin Hilton or "Bill" 84, of Bartlesville died Thursday in Bartlesville.
William Franklin (Bill) Hilton was born in Cherry Hill, AR, on October 4, 1933, to Allen Autry and Lois Hilton. Bill graduated from Mena High School and from the University of Arkansas. He served in the U.S. Army from September 1953 through August 1955.
Upon completion of his Army service, Bill married Ann Blan and they lived in Fayetteville, AR, while he completed his Bachelors of Business and Administration degree in accounting at the University of Arkansas.
Bill's career was in the accounting field. He was Vice President, Finance and Administration, when he retired from Milnot Company. Bill was an avid golfer and became a regular at Adams Municipal Golf Course, playing and working there for several years.
He loved our Lord and Savior and was active in church wherever he lived. Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church became his church home after Bill and Ann moved to Bartlesville in 2002.
Bill is survived by his wife Ann, whom he married in 1955. He was a caring and proud father to two children, Karen Cox of Bartlesville, and Keith Hilton (wife MaryLynn) of Flower Mound, TX. He loved being a grandfather to Sean Cox of Decatur, IL, and Lyndsay Hilton of Flower Mound, TX. He is also survived by his sister Kate Patterson of Mena, AR; nephews Wayne Patterson (Brenda), Paul Patterson, and Brad Blan (Karen); and nieces Betsy Blan, Cindy Trivett (Kevin) and Nancy Patterson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Washington Osage Baptist Association., Disaster Relief, 3801 Maryland St., Bartlesville, OK 74006 or to the American Lung Association at www.lung.org .
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, June 22, at the Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church.
Interment will be in the Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ar. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home – Walker Brown Chapel.
