William C. Hill, 89, formerly of Blanchard, died Friday, September 15, 2017, in Lawton. The son of Gordon Joseph Hill and Mary Elizabeth (Terrell) Hill, he was born December 13, 1927 in Black Oak, Arkansas.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Bill married Mary Edith Hill in September of 1950 in Oklahoma City and she preceded him in death on March 1, 2007. He worked as a welder and ironworker until his retirement and was a member of the Ironworkers Union Local #48. In his spare time, he enjoyed farming, raising Boston Terriers, gardening, tree grafting, and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Hill, and a brother, Cecil L. Hill.
Bill is survived by his two daughters, Patricia Hill and Marty Hill, both of Medicine Park; one granddaughter, Anna Phillips and her husband, Vincent, of Choctaw; three great grandchildren, Sebastian, Maverick, and Anthony; one sister, Alma Jo Hughes, of Lindsay; two brothers, Pete Hill and his wife, Peggy, of Blanchard and R.J. Hill and is wife, Margie, of Sulphur; and many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard.
Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
