Brian Edward Hill of Sherman, Texas, was born June 20, 1975 in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Virgil M. Hill and Melba Wilson Hill and passed from this life on February 2, 2016 in Springer, Oklahoma at the age of 40.
Brian graduated from Silo High School in 1993 and served his country in the US Navy for 20 years. He was a corpsman and served in Iraq, Fallujah, Afghanistan, and Kuwait. Brian earned a bronze star when in Afghanistan for saving many lives, and particularly for saving a comrades leg.
He was also proud to be a Mason. After his retirement from the Navy, Brian completed the course in MMI.
He was a certified Harley Davidson mechanic, and was employed by Goen's Lumber in Pottsboro, Texas where he drove a semi delivering supplies to many construction sites.
Brian married the love of his life, Courtney Blomgren in Las Vegas on July 14, 2012. Together, they have a beautiful baby girl, Reagan Elizabeth Hill. He also has a wonderful son, Blake Cissell.
Brian is survived by his wife, Courtney Hill of the home; son, Blake Cissell of Durant; daughter, Reagan Hill of Sherman; mother and father, Virgil and Melba Hill; father-in-law, Chip Blomgren; mother-in-law, Tina Blomgren; sister, Melanie Hill Palmer, and husband Terry Palmer; nieces and nephews, Courtney Palmer, Ashley Palmer, Madeline Osborne; Abigail Palmer, Matthew Willey, Hunter Blomgren, Hannah Blomgren; brothers-in-law, Chad Blomgren and Adam Willey; sisters-in-law, Amy Blomgren and Amanda Willey; aunts, Sherry Farthing and Estelle Hill; uncles, Winfred Hill and Don Hill; and numerous friends and battle brothers.
Brian was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Virgil Hill; paternal grandmother, Edith Hill Labor; maternal grandfather, Francis Wilson; maternal grandmother, Ruth Wilson Rape; aunt, Mildred Hill; and uncles, Vernon Hill, C. J. Hill, Alfred Hill, and Richard Hill.
A celebration of Brian's life with Military Honors will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Streetman Road Baptist Church with Reverend Eric Dennis officiating. Family visitation will be held Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Browns Funeral Service Chapel in Durant.
