Dale Hildebrand

Dale Hildebrand
July 21, 1938 ~ October 9, 2020

Dale Hildebrand went home to be with the Lord on October 9, 2020. Dale was born July 21, 1938 to Elsie (Cruse) and Fannet Hildebrand in Perry, OK. Dale attended elementary school in Geuda Springs, KS and graduated from Perry High School. He continued his education at OSU earning a BS in Forestry. He served in the US Army (Second Lieutenant). He worked for the Oklahoma Department of Forestry, United States Forest Service in Arkansas and Mississippi, and retired from the United States Postal Service as an electronic technician. In retirement he worked part time at the Department of Environmental Quality. Dale married Marlene Willms on June 26, 1966 in Kingfisher, OK. Dale never met a stranger and always had a story to tell. He enjoyed family, fixing things, forestry, fishing, watching his grandsons’ ballgames, grafting pecan trees, watching westerns, and playing cards.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Floyd Hildebrand and Clarence Hildebrand. He is survived by his wife Marlene of the home, son Mark (Rachel) of Choctaw, and daughter Ruth (Tim) Belcher of Millington, TN. He also had three grandsons- Phillip, Joseph, and Luke Hildebrand of Choctaw. His two granddaughters are Rebekah Belcher of Longview, TX and Sarah (Trent) Wiens and great grandson, Caspian of Rose Hill, KS. He is also survived by brothers Glen (Nancy) Hildebrand of Ponca City and Melvin (Judy) Hildebrand of Bartlesville and sister in laws Mary Hildebrand of Perry and Betty Hildebrand of Blackwell.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 700 N. Air Depot, Midwest City, OK 73110 or the Oklahoma Special Olympics 6835 S. Canton Ave., Tulsa, OK 74136.

The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 15 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 700 N. Air Depot, Midwest City (Ford, Midwest City) Please wear a mask.
