Marshall Timothy "Tim" Hight, age 66, passed away Friday morning with his wife beside him.
Marshall Timothy “Tim” Hight was born in Dallas, TX on October 29, 1953 to Orvil Lee and Mary Elizabeth (Blair) Hight. Tim passed away in Oklahoma City, OK on September 4, 2020 at the age of 66. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at First Presbyterian Church of Perry with Pastor Steve Smith officiating.
Tim grew up in Dallas, TX and Tulsa, OK, graduating from Tulsa Memorial High School in 1972. He then attended the University of Oklahoma graduating in 1976. He was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Tim married his high school sweetheart, Margaret Ann Ruble, on August 28, 1976 in Tulsa, OK. They have made their home in Perry, OK since January 1977.
Tim was employed by Charles Machine Works, Inc. (Ditch Witch) for thirty years starting as a District Manager and retiring as Sr. Global Account Manager. He then worked for Vermeer Corporation for five years as a Rental Corporate Account Manager.
Tim was an active member of Perry First Presbyterian Church, serving in many capacities over 44 years. He served on the Board of Directors for the Goodland Academy, the Noble County Family YMCA, and the Northern Oklahoma Baseball Association. Tim loved coaching his son’s baseball and daughter’s softball teams. He was also the Assistant Softball Coach for Perry High School from 2004-2008. He also enjoyed playing hockey in high school; snow skiing, golf, cycling, reading, and traveling.
Tim is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ann; son, Brandon Hight and wife Tara (Perry)and daughter, Bonnie (Hight) Casteel and husband T.J.(Lucien) eight grandchildren; Dylan Hight, Kennedy Hight, Drake Donnell, Matt Casteel, Sawyer Donnell, Annie Casteel, Libby Casteel, and Ladd Casteel and brother, Mike. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Orvil, Jr. and Gary Hight and sister-in-law, Barbara Hight.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ellison Beasley, Verl Brorsen, Jarrett Cowden, Brad Finley, Bryan Hayes, and Jim Smith.
In Tim’s memory, friends may make contributions to Goodland Academy, Hugo, OK, Noble County Family YMCA, or First Presbyterian Church in care of Trout Funeral Home, 1408 N. 7th Street Perry OK 73077.
