The memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Linda Fay Higgins, 70, of Ponca City, will be held at a later date. Complete cremation care is under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Linda was born October 8, 1950, to Harold and Madelia Hoogendoorn and passed from this life September 15, 2020, in Enid, Oklahoma.
She was raised and educated in Ponca City, graduating from Ponca City High School. She was a long-time member and former president of the Ponca City K-9 club. She was a qualified agility judge and was passionate about showing K-9s in obedience and agility and raising money for the K-9 club. She also enjoyed trail riding horses.
In 1968 she married the love of her life, Gary Higgins, in Ponca City, from this union came two children. The couple made their home in Ponca City and were married forty-seven years at the time of his death in 2015.
She is survived by two brothers John Hoogendoorn and Larry Hoogendoorn; one daughter Angie Lippard, of Enid, Oklahoma; one son Gary Gene Higgins, of Ponca City, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; their families and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in her name to the K-9 Dog Training Club of Ponca City with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
