Jackie Sue (Lang) Herron
December 20, 1955 ~ January 15, 2024

The come and go celebration for Jackie Sue Herron, 68 year-old Enid resident will be from 11AM-1PM Friday, January 26, 2024 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel.

Jackie was born December 20, 1955 in Great Bend, Kansas to Clem and Mary Ann (Schmeidler) Lang and died Monday, January 15, 2004 in Enid.

Jackie attended local schools and after graduation worked in Pratt, KS. where she met her future husband. On October 28, 1978 she married Leonard G. Herron III in Great Bend, KS. The couple made their first family home in Muskogee, OK until 1984 when they moved to their permanent residence in Enid.

Jackie worked from home as a custom baker while raising her three kids until they were of age for school. She held jobs at Save-On, Cromwell's, and spent the last 20 years as a bookkeeper for Big Buckets Rat Hole Drilling where her coworkers and bosses became more like family.

Jackie was an avid gardener and found her peace working in her yard. She enjoyed watching OSU sports, Thunder basketball, and the Kansas City Chiefs. Jackie enjoyed spending time with her children and especially her grandson, Leo. Jackie was a kind and generous person and supported many charities and non-profit organizations. She devoted much of her time caring for her sister-in-law for many years.

Jackie is survived by her children, Lenny and Payton Herron of Enid, and Emily Herron and fiancé Kris and grandson Leo of Denham Springs, LA. Three brothers, Harvey Lang and wife Kathy, Curt Lang and wife Dolly, and Willie Lang and partner Suzanne. One sister Sammy Glass and husband Bill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws, and husband Leonard.

Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson to the American Cancer Society.
