Deborah Ann Herron

Deborah Ann Herron
November 16, 1952 ~ November 15, 2021

The funeral service for Deborah Ann Herron, 68-year-old Enid resident, will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 19, 2021, in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Alan Seibel officiating. Deborah will be cremated following the service. Viewing is 8:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021, at the funeral home.

Deborah arrived in this world November 16, 1952, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, to parents, Leonard and Juanita (Payton) Herron. She was born with PKU (Phenylketonuria) before infants were tested. She successfully managed to be self-sufficient despite her disability. Raised in Stillwater, Deborah graduated from Stillwater High School in 1971 then went on to attend Meridian Vo-Tech where she enjoyed a variety of classes, including crocheting and cake decorating.

In 2007, Deborah and her mother moved to Enid after the OSU Foundation bought their home to create an athletic village. She quickly became an active member of Oakwood Christian Church and would often walk to their gym for her workouts.

Deborah enjoyed a variety of things such as the OKC Thunder and St. Louis Cardinals. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, playing games on her computer, watching scary movies, and reading anything by Stephen King or Ann Rice. She loved listening to both gospel and rock-and-roll. Queen and Aerosmith were her favorite artists. No matter what, Deborah was such a kind and loving person who was always upbeat.

On November 15, 2021, one day shy of her 69th birthday, she passed away in Enid.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard in 2006; her mother, Juanita and brother, Leonard Herron III, both in 2012.

Deborah is survived by her sister-in-law, Jackie Herron of Enid; nephews, Lenny and Payton Herron of Enid; niece, Emily Herron of Denham Springs, LA; beloved dogs, Quintus and Ernestine; an aunt as well as several cousins.

Memorial donations can be given through the funeral home to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
