Linda Ann Herrington, born October 20, 1955; wife and soul mate of Charles Herrington for 33 years; mother of Tiffany Adams; grandmother of four passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning March 22, 2017. Memorial and visitation will begin Friday 3:00 pm at Whinery-Huddleston 6210 NW Cache Road and continue at 5:00 pm in the Hilton Garden Inn downtown Lawton.
Born Linda Ann Brown on October 20, 1955 to Charles and Carline Brown, she grew up in the North Richland Hills area of Fort Worth Texas with three brothers; Larry, Gary and Barry. Growing up as a Tom Boy provided her with all the insight she would need to be an exceptional military spouse for Charles and his 23-year Army career. Linda personified the word homemaker! She loved providing structure for her family. It was her favorite thing to do. She volunteered for any and everything to support the military. I am blessed to have been her husband.
She is herself a Molly Pitcher member in the military, Girl Scout leader, devout Christian, the glue that binds.
Newly retired Linda was looking forward to some leisurely travel with Charles, doing some updates on the house and hitting a Jackpot at the local casino. Linda spent her pass time cleaning and detailing their home. Then obsessing over whether ants were getting in the house which found her on the front or back porch killing them by hand, one-at-a-time, to ensure their demise. After which she would begin vacuuming
So much so, in many ways, it could be seen as an obsession. Linda was so friendly she could continue a conversation with any stranger with time.
