Kay Herring passed away on February 8, 2022 at the age of 72 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She was born on January 14, 1950 in Freeport, Texas to GW and Iris Ballard.
Kay graduated from Brazosport High School in 1968. Her family attended church at First Baptist Church Freeport, where she was actively involved. She is a graduate of Northwestern State University in Alva, Oklahoma earning her degree in Elem Education.
In 1972 she married Bob, they made several moves with Phillips Pipeline Company. They ultimately settled in Bartlesville where they started a family. During her career she worked at Bartlesville First Baptist Church Preschool and Mother’s Day Out, Phillips Recreation and AG Edwards. She retired in 2005. Upon retirement, she enjoyed traveling, cooking, reading, photography, embroidery, and going on mission trips.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, GW and Iris Ballard; and numerous aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; daughter, Kerry Ingersoll (husband Warren) and children, Autumn Ingersoll, Konnor Ingersoll, Colton Ingersoll, Christopher Ingersoll, Karson Ingersoll, Lily Ingersoll, Kaytlee Ingersoll, and Johnathan Kidd of Shawnee, OK; son, Jay Herring (wife Angela) and daughter Alyxandra Herring of Rogers, AR and her brother David Ballard of Greenville, TX.
