A Celebration of Life for Angela Dawn Herring, age 53, of Enid, will be 2:00 pm, Friday, August 25, 2023 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Johnie Rauschenberg officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
Angela was born August 7, 1970 in Dallas, Texas to Anthony and Madonna (Phares) McElfresh, and passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at her home in Enid.
Angela attended schools in Dallas, Texas and Waukomis High School. She attended NOC, taking classes in business administration. She earned her CASA Certification (Court appointed special advocate) in order to help children going into foster care. Angela loved spending time with her kids and grandchildren, who were her world. She liked going to the lake, going on bike rides and going to Texas Motor Speedway to watch NASCAR races and just having fun spending time with her family and many friends.
Angela is preceded in death by her mother, Madonna McElfresh; and sister, Tracy Castleman. She is survived by her three children, Alisha Hall and husband Scott, of Enid; Dustin Nakvinda of Enid; Amber Nakvinda, of Enid; father, Anthony McElfresh, of Enid; three siblings, Darla Tauber and husband James, of Garber; Sherry Shortnacy and husband Roy, of Enid; Andy McElfresh of Enid; five grandchildren; Darrius Hall, Davin Nakvinda, Zayree Swalve, Adalyn Hall, and Chevy Henshall, all of Enid; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; her best friend Julie Herald, and many many friends and “adopted” kids.
Memorial contributions in Angela’s name may be made to an education fund for her grandchildren with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
