Frank W. Herrick

September 20, 1915 ~ June 1, 1980

Funeral services for Frank W. Herrick, 64, 104 S. Hoover, will be at 10 AM Wednesday in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain (Captain) Jack Okon officiating.

Following the service, the body will be taken to Council Bluffs, Iowa, for a graveside service at 11 AM Thursday in the Fairview Cemetery.

Herrick died June 1 in a local hospital. He was born September 20, 1915, at Boone, Iowa, and graduated from high school there. He later enlisted in the military service and served in Ireland, North Africa, Alaska and Japan.

Herrick retired from the US Air Force as a Master Sergeant after 24 years of service. He was stationed at Vance Air Force Base at the time of his retirement and later worked as a quality control inspector for Serv-Air.

Herrick was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include a son, Technical Sergeant Tom Herrick of Enid; two granddaughters; three sisters, Mrs. LaMoin (Violet) Hull of Harrison, Arkansas, Mrs. W. W. (Clara) Bothwell, Hollywood, California, and Mrs. George (Elaine) Kolinski, Mattoon, Illinois; two brothers, Earl Herrick, Boone, Iowa, and Harlan Herrick, Jamaica, New York.
