Yara Hernandez, age 43, of Durant, Oklahoma passed away on November 21, 2020. Yara was born on September 25, 1977 to Epifanio and Maria Hernandez in Donaji Oaxaca, Mexico. She moved to Durant in 2002 from Oaxaca, Mexico. She married Francisco Becerra on April 29, 2017 at St. William Catholic Church in Durant.
Yara loved cooking and gardening, she was very friendly and loved to help others, and was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her grandmothers Dolores Jimenez Toledo and Felipa Anota Rafael.
Yara is survived by her husband Francisco Becerra of the home, daughter Maritza Hernandez of Durant, OK, her sons Axel Hernandez of Oaxaca, MX, Erick Becerra of Durant, Ok and Angel Becerra of Durant, OK. Her mother Maria Jimenez and father Epifanio Hernandez of Oaxaca, MX. Her sisters Maria Ester Hernandez, Martha Elena Hernandez, Blanca Esthela Hernandez, and Maria Guadalupe Hernandez and her brother Salvador Hernandez all of Oaxaca, MX.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Williams Catholic Church in Durant, OK
on Wednesday November 25, 2020 at 3:00 PM with visitation on Tuesday at 6:30
PM at St. Williams Catholic Church. Funeral services and under the direction
of Brown’s Funeral Service of Durant. Online condolences can be made at
