Luella Elizabeth "Lou" (Brewer) Heppel
May 23, 1931 ~ July 29, 2017

Luella "Lou" Elizabeth Brewer Heppel, age 86, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Westhaven Nursing Home in Stillwater, OK.  Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater, OK.

Lou was born on May 23, 1931 in Masham, OK, to Hoyt "Bud" and Stella (Dillet) Brewer. She graduated from Ralston High School in 1950.  On September 23, 1952, Lou and Gerald L. Heppel were married in Skedee, OK.  They would have celebrated 65 years together this September. While raising her family, Lou worked as a cook in several school cafeterias in the area.

Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved them dearly. Lou had a servants heart. She enjoyed collecting jewelry, redesigning it and donating it to Karman Korner for resale. She was also noted for her wonderful cooking. Her family will always remember her delicious fried bread, and her veggie soup that was out of this world. 

Survivors include her husband Gerald of the home; one daughter, Vickie Walker and husband Robert of Story, AR; one son, Gerald Heppel and wife Lisa of Cushing, OK; brother, Dale Brewer and wife Shirley of Fairfax, OK; Sister, Joy Webb of Masham, OK; four granddaughters, Lindsay Beaton and husband Kyle of DeWitt, AR, Jana Robinson of Oklahoma City, OK, Alisha Clark and husband Chris of Hodge, LA, and Crystal Heppel of Cushing, OK;  Four great-grandchildren, Katelyn Clark, Evelyn Clark, Anna Claire Beaton, and Henry Clark.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and three sisters, Maxine Thurber, Marie Bettis, and Mary Campbell.
