Gayla Ann (Fitz) Henson

Gayla Ann Henson, 60, of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away on January 16, 2023, in Kingston. Gayla was born on March 24, 1962, in Wilson, Oklahoma to the late Rodney Kendall Fitz and Barbara Jean Barrett Fitz. She grew up in Wilson where she graduated high school in 1980. Gayla later attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma where she received a bachelor’s degree in science. She worked as an insurance adjuster for several years. Gayla married Timothy Elmer Henson on March 18, 2000, in Fort Washita, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on October 30, 2022. She enjoyed painting, making jewelry and collecting rocks.

Gayla is survived by Children Josh Fitz and wife Francine, Kingston, Oklahoma; Tim Henson and wife Wendy, Ardmore, Oklahoma. 2 Grandchildren Nigel and Gwen. Sisters Terri Wallace, Shawnee, Oklahoma; Starla Brown and husband Robert, Madill, Oklahoma.

Gayla was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 1 sister: Marsha Stephens.
