Boyce Lynn “Bo” Henson

Boyce Lynn “Bo” Henson
October 31, 1946 ~ February 4, 2023

Boyce Lynn “Bo” Henson, 76-year-old Marietta, OK resident, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023 while surrounded by family at his home. A private family service will be held at a later date. Services have been entrusted to the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Marietta.

Bo was born October 31, 1946 in Marietta the son of Weldon Choice and Velma Melinda (Elliott) Henson. At about the age of 7, Bo’s family moved to Oklahoma City where he continued his education and graduated from Central High School with the Class of 1965. Bo married Patricia Marie Tipken on March 28, 1968, in Oklahoma City. In 1981, Bo and Patricia returned to Marietta where they have resided since.

Bo worked as an architectural patcher in the pre-cast industry before his retirement. In his spare time, he loved doing carpentry and woodwork and he also created and designed several knives. Bo was a devout member of the First Baptist Church in Marietta. Bo enjoyed his work and his hobbies, but perhaps the one thing that brought him the most joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren.

Bo was preceded in death by his parents, Weldon and Velma Henson. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patricia of the home; sons, Kenneth Henson and wife Veronica of Marietta and Steven Henson and wife A.J. of Marietta; daughters, Tasha Caldwell and husband Monty of Marietta and Kimberly Chaney and husband Scott of Marietta; brother, Ronnie Henson of Lawton, OK; sisters, Linda Dolph of Oklahoma City and Pat Culwell of Oklahoma City; 13 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
