DeCarla Lee (Golden) Hensley
October 17, 1950 ~ March 19, 2017

DeCarla Lee Hensley 66, of Coleman, Oklahoma passed away at Alliance Health in Durant, OK on Sunday, March 19th, 2017 at 8:06a.m. from cardiac arrest. De was a loving and dedicated wife, caring mother and a beloved friend to many. De was born October 17th, 1950 in McAlester, Oklahoma.

De graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University where she graduated in arts and started teaching on the Navajo reservation in Shiprock, New Mexico. Through the years she remained in touch with many of her students. De gave up her teaching career to be a full time wife and mother, devoting her life to raising her children.

De is survived by her husband, Jimmy, of the home, their son Landon of Oklahoma City, OK their daughter Kristen of Oklahoma City, OK, her daughter Leigh-Anne and her husband James Yeager of Kingston, OK, her sister Jo Silvey of Frisco, TX, her sister Linda-Kay Purcell of Yukon, OK, her brother Paul and his wife Sandy Golden of Alvin, TX, and her grandson Jeremiah Yeager of Kingston, OK.

De is preceded in death by her father, Harvey Golden, and mother Louise Golden of Alvin, TX, her grandson Christofer Yeager of Kingston, OK.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday March the 28th, 2017 at 10am. in the Fillmore Church of the Nazarene located at HWY 48A & Fillmore Rd in Coleman, Oklahoma with Pastor Paul Golden officiating.

The register book may be signed and condolences sent to the family online @ cunninghamfuneralhomesok.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cunningham Funeral Home in Caddo, Oklahoma.
