Larry George Henisey

Larry George Henisey
April 18, 1944 ~ March 7, 2018 

Larry George Henisey passed away Wednesday, March 7 in Bartlesville. He was born April 18, 1944 in Coffeyville, Ks. to George "Jack" and Evelyn (Taylor) Henisey. He graduated from Labette County High School in 1962. He was also a graduate of Coffeyville Community College and the 22nd Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy in 1967. He served as a patrolman in Troop L (Nowata) and Troop YA (Cimarron Turnpike). He retired as a 2nd Lieutenant of Troop K (Pawnee) in 1990. After retirement, he worked for the United States Marshals in Tulsa. Larry married Greta Sue Hendrickson in Miami, Ok on December 29, 1971. 

Larry is survived by son Mark Henisey of DuPont, Wa; daughter Melinda Henisey of Temple, Pa, 3 granddaughters, Danielle Henisey, Jessica Henisey Brooks and Erin Henisey, all of DuPont, Wa; a great-grandson Ayden Brooks of DuPont, Wa; a sister, Cheryl Henisey of Coffeyville, Ks; cousins Danny Henisey and his wife Cathey of Coffeyville, Ks., Connie Henisey and Linda Jones of Independence, Ks. and special friend, Debby Lucas of Bartlesville.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and wife Greta.

Arrangements are being handled by Stumpff Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Larry's name may be made to Bartlesville First Church Animal Ministry attention: Pastor Tari Carbaugh 4715 Price Road Bartlesville, Ok. 74006.
